The Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) has launched an investigation into the passing of Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba, who died at age 40 on August 5, 2026. This action follows public accusations involving her fiancé, Prophet Itunu Onadeko, a church shepherd.
AVSE Kayode Ajala, the church’s media representative, noted that the situation has caused significant embarrassment for the organization. The church reiterated that it strictly prohibits activities like cultism, black magic, and idol worship. To protect its reputation, the church is conducting a private probe into the claims.
The leadership, led by Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa, has pledged full cooperation with police investigations. If evidence confirms Onadeko’s involvement in wrongdoing, the church plans to impose internal sanctions and ensure he faces legal consequences.
The institution expressed its sympathy for the actress’s family and remains dedicated to uncovering the facts to ensure justice is served.
