Brentford are on the verge of acquiring Burnley forward Jaidon Anthony in a transfer package valued at £15m, which could climb to £17m through various performance-related bonuses. The 26-year-old attacker is expected to agree to a four-year deal that includes an extension option, with a medical examination set for Monday.
During the previous campaign, Anthony tallied nine goals and four assists in 38 outings, though these efforts could not secure Burnley’s position in the Premier League. As a London native and former Arsenal youth player, the transition to Brentford is an attractive prospect for Anthony, and manager Keith Andrews views him as an ideal tactical addition.
Anthony’s career path includes time at Bournemouth, as well as loan stints with Weymouth and Leeds United, prior to his permanent move to Burnley in 2024. This latest transfer follows Brentford’s recent recruitment of defender Jannik Schuster from RB Salzburg for a fee potentially reaching £16m.
