Barau FC has confirmed the retention of 21 players ahead of the upcoming 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League season, as reported by DAILY POST. This decision followed discussions between the management and the club’s technical staff.
The list of retained athletes includes prominent names such as Emeka Nwabulu, Chisom Chiaha, Oscar Destiny, and Sugau Aliyu. Additional players continuing with the club are Bismark Duah, Usman Maidubuji, Henry Ezeonye, Chisom Nkwocha, and Orji Kalu.
The remaining squad members confirmed for the new season are Jimmy Ambrose, Nura Muhammad, Moses Tsehuan, Sa’ad Tijjani, Ebuka Nwokorie, Sunday Anthony, Hillary Ekawu, Joseph Atule, Adamu Hussaini, Ibrahim Yunusa, Uche Moses, and Stanley Oganbor. Looking ahead, Barau FC intends to bolster their roster with new signings before the campaign begins. The 2026/27 NPFL season is scheduled to kick off on Friday, August 28.
