Aviation Minister Keyamo Challenges Seun Akinbaloye Over Peter Obi Airport Incident Interview

Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo confronted journalist Seun Akinbaloye on live television, accusing the host of bias for questioning him about Peter Obi’s airport incident after failing to raise the topic during a recent interview with Obi himself.

During a broadcast of Channels Television’s Politics Today on Thursday, Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development Festus Keyamo openly disagreed with host Seun Akinbaloye. The friction began when Akinbaloye questioned the federal government’s handling of an alleged parking violation involving 2027 presidential hopeful Peter Obi at an airport.

Keyamo expressed frustration with the line of questioning, accusing the media of showing bias against the current administration. He pointed out that the channel recently hosted Obi for an extensive two-hour interview but failed to address the airport controversy during that session. Keyamo argued that it was unfair to bring the topic up with him instead.

The heated exchange continued as the minister claimed the journalist was attempting to cut his response short to avoid difficult inquiries. Keyamo insisted that media outlets must practice greater neutrality when covering government officials and political figures.
