Tolu Arokodare successfully found the net in his inaugural appearance for Ajax during their 3-2 pre-season exhibition match victory against FC Volendam this past Sunday.
Beginning the match on the bench, the Nigerian forward entered the fray to substitute for Marcos Leonardo with roughly 19 minutes remaining.
Arokodare secured Ajax’s third goal in the 88th minute, capitalizing on a defensive error triggered by an Anton Gaaei cross. This 25-year-old talent finalized his transfer to Ajax from the Sky Bet Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier this week.
The current agreement includes an option for Ajax to complete a permanent transfer following the conclusion of the campaign. Arokodare aims to demonstrate his value to the club throughout the 2026/27 season to secure a regular spot in the starting lineup.
