Troops of Operation Hadin Kai in the northern region of Nigeria have successfully neutralized at least 60 terrorists.
This was announced in a brief statement released by the Nigerian Army Headquarters on its Facebook page on Friday, May 30.
The operation, which involved both land and air forces, was conducted in Bita, Borno State in the early hours of Friday.
The post reads, “In a decisive and coordinated operation, gallant troops of Operation Hadin Kai launched a simultaneous land and air assault on terrorist positions in Bita, Borno State, in the early hours of today.
“The intense battle resulted in the neutralization of at least 60 terrorists”.
Earlier this week, troops neutralized dozens of Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP) terrorists during a clash in New Marte, Marte Local Government Area of Borno State.
However, the encounter resulted in the loss of two soldiers who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
