Akpabio Pledges End to Nigeria’s Security Woes

Senate President Godswill Akpabio promises that the Tinubu administration will soon eradicate insecurity in Nigeria while encouraging citizens to disregard misleading reports on social media.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has declared that the government under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is fully committed to resolving the nation’s security struggles. He addressed this during a visit from the Ladies Golf Association of Nigeria, headed by Dr. Lima Ahmed, at the National Assembly.

Akpabio emphasized that the administration is actively combating threats, citing the recent recovery of kidnapped students in Oyo State as evidence of their efforts. He urged citizens to look past social media narratives, which he argued do not accurately portray the state’s progress. Regarding political representation, he noted that some women have historically failed to support their peers due to the negative conduct of certain past female officeholders.

During the meeting, Akpabio promised support for an upcoming international golf tournament in Abuja. Dr. Ahmed thanked him for his time, extended an official invite to the event, and honored him as the association’s Grand Patron.
