Senate President Godswill Akpabio has declared that the City Boy Movement is positioned to guarantee a decisive win for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 election. During a meeting with the group’s delegates on Wednesday, Akpabio praised their dedication, describing the movement as a powerful force currently influencing the nation’s political landscape.
Akpabio emphasized that the group’s presence would ensure adequate representation at all polling stations, preventing the loss of votes experienced in previous cycles. He encouraged members to remain focused on their mobilization and voter education efforts despite potential criticism from opposition parties. The Senate President urged the youth to continue their constructive political engagement while avoiding societal pitfalls like drug abuse and cultism.
Drawing on the words of a philosopher, Akpabio reminded the youth of their privilege to shape the country’s future and encouraged them to steer clear of failure. He confirmed that the Senate stands fully behind the movement’s mission. Francis Shoga, the Director-General of the City Boy Movement, noted that the visit aimed to bolster ties between the organization and lawmakers, seeking guidance as they expand their reach to foster national development.
