Fabiyi Oladimeji, a prominent figure within the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has asserted that a southern presidential candidate lacks the ability to unseat President Bola Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 elections. During a recent appearance on Trust TV, Oladimeji stated that Atiku Abubakar is the only individual capable of successfully challenging the current administration.
His comments follow the emergence of a coalition involving 100 influential Nigerian political stakeholders focused on consolidating opposition efforts for the next election cycle. Oladimeji emphasized that the effectiveness of this group, referred to as the G-100, hinges on sincere motives and a dedication to national restoration. He urged the members to prioritize the nation’s needs over personal biases.
Regarding the group’s potential impact, Oladimeji maintained that his assessment of Tinubu’s political strength remains a widely accepted perspective.
