The Adamawa State Police Command has taken four individuals into custody regarding a robbery and criminal conspiracy case at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) lodge near the Specialist Hospital in Yola. The accused men, identified as Elkana Ishaya, Mubarak Abubakar, Musa Umar, and Kabiru Tanko, were located by officials from the Karewa Area Command.
Authorities recovered four stolen mobile devices during the operation. According to official reports, the suspects entered the lodge on June 27 while carrying weapons and robbed 36 corps members of their personal belongings. Police stated that legal proceedings will begin once the current inquiry concludes, and they remain optimistic about capturing additional gang members and recovering more stolen property. Commissioner of Police Kabir Hassan reiterated the department’s dedication to community safety and encouraged citizens to notify local stations about any suspicious activity to help reduce crime.
