Nigerian actor IK Ogbonna has publicly rejected claims linking him to a $75,000 romance fraud scheme. News of his alleged interrogation by the EFCC and the FBI circulated online following accusations from Kimberly Ann, a 49-year-old American who claimed she was involved in an online relationship with him since 2025.

Addressing the rumors via Instagram, Ogbonna characterized the reports as entirely fabricated and malicious. He stated unequivocally that he does not engage in internet fraud or deceptive practices. The actor emphasized that his name and likeness have frequently been misappropriated by criminals operating fraudulent social media profiles to trick the public.

Ogbonna cautioned his followers to stay alert, noting that he has never empowered anyone to act on his behalf or request funds. He urged the public to exercise extreme caution to avoid being victimized by imposters utilizing his identity.
