The All Progressives Congress (APC) asserts that Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke can be unseated, citing his poor administrative record as a primary weakness. This statement was made by Felix Morka, the National Publicity Secretary for the APC, during an appearance on Arise Television’s Prime Time program this Wednesday.
Morka signaled confidence that the party’s candidate possesses the necessary public support to overtake the incumbent. He emphasized that the final outcome rests on the integrity of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) during the balloting process.
Criticizing the governor’s tenure, Morka described Adeleke’s performance as subpar, specifically pointing to failing standards within the healthcare and education sectors. He suggested that the governor has become widely unpopular due to these governance challenges. Despite concerns regarding potential election violence, Morka expressed faith that the people of Osun will exercise their democratic right to choose their leadership. The next gubernatorial contest in the state is slated for August 15, 2026.
