St Helens and Hull FC have officially scheduled a match in Dublin for April 25, 2027. This game will serve as the second half of a Super League weekend taking place at the recently renovated Laya Arena, previously known as the RDS Arena.
Eamonn McManus, the chairman of St Helens, confirmed the arrangement ahead of the clubs’ recent meeting at BrewDog Stadium. This announcement follows news that the Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves will kick off the event with a match on Saturday, April 24.
The Laya Arena, which holds 20,000 spectators and serves as the home ground for Leinster rugby union, will host both fixtures. Hull FC chairman Andrew Thirkell expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, noting that the event offers a unique opportunity for traveling fans. Both clubs intend for this weekend to highlight the growth of rugby league within Ireland.
