Social media figure Martins Vincent Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, has established specific terms for complying with a police summons following accusations he leveled against AIG Moshood Jimoh of the Zone 2 Command. Represented by attorney Deji Adeyanju, the activist is calling for an open and transparent investigation.
While confirming his intent to assist the Force Criminal Investigation Department, the activist stressed the need for institutional safeguards. This follows an August 4 announcement from the Nigeria Police Force requesting that he provide evidence to support his claims against the senior officer. His legal counsel emphasized that he has no intention of obstructing a legitimate inquiry.
The defense team highlighted that the high-profile nature of the case and the senior rank of the accused officer require strict accountability. Consequently, they are requesting that independent observers, including members of the Nigerian Bar Association and civil society groups, be permitted to oversee the proceedings to ensure a fair outcome.
