Chelsea newcomers Moises Caicedo and Joao Pedro have spoken highly of Danny Welbeck after the 35-year-old joined the London club on a two-year contract from Brighton & Hove Albion. Both players highlighted Welbeck’s positive influence and professional demeanor within the squad.

Speaking to the official Chelsea website, Joao Pedro credited the former Manchester United forward with helping him settle in England after his move from Watford. The Brazilian noted that Welbeck consistently offered support despite language barriers, describing him as a vital personal mentor. Welbeck made his unofficial club debut on Wednesday, August 5, during a pre-season friendly against Juventus. The striker played the opening 45 minutes, registered one shot, and earned a 6.7 rating from Sofascore in the narrow 1-0 defeat.
