Two Soldiers Detained for Unsanctioned Security Detail at Peller and Jarvis Wedding

The Nigerian Army has detained two soldiers for providing unauthorized security services during the recent wedding ceremony of influencers Peller and Jarvis in Lagos.

The Nigerian Army has taken two soldiers into custody for their suspected role in an unofficial security operation at the wedding of content creators Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, and TikTok star Jarvis. The event took place recently in Lekki, Lagos State.

According to reports, intelligence indicated that military staff were present at the celebrity wedding without authorization. The two soldiers, identified as Private Onasanya Ifeoluwa and Private Ukpai Onyinyechi from the 81 Division Medical Services and Hospital in Obalende, were apprehended on Tuesday. Officials have started an initial inquiry to clarify their actions and identify if others were involved.

This action follows the spread of social media footage showing uniformed soldiers managing crowds and escorting guests at the wedding. These videos sparked significant public interest regarding the appropriateness of military presence at private functions.

Military policy strictly prohibits soldiers from engaging in private security work or unauthorized deployments. Authorities are currently reviewing the incident to decide on potential disciplinary consequences if the personnel are found to have breached service regulations.
