The Renewed Hope Youth Engagement recently inaugurated its Plateau State coordinating unit in Jos, where members projected a decisive win for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 election. The organization is actively rallying local youth to back the president’s re-election campaign.
Representing Governor Caleb Mutfwang, Deputy Governor Josephine Piyo voiced the state government’s commitment to youth empowerment and civic participation. The governor praised the movement as a platform for nurturing leadership and encouraged the group to prioritize integrity and community development alongside their political goals.
Wilson Manji, the state coordinator, stated that the group aims to secure overwhelming voter support for Tinubu, emphasizing that the political landscape in 2027 will differ significantly from 2023. Meanwhile, Ambassador Ernest Abner Da’a defended the administration’s economic policies, such as the fuel subsidy removal, noting that these reforms have boosted infrastructure funding for projects like the Akwanga-Jos-Bauchi-Gombe highway.
Local government leaders and national representatives also addressed the assembly. ALGON Chairman Alhaji Hamisu Anani promised grassroots mobilization, while National Coordinator Abdulazeez Abubakar Kaka highlighted achievements including the student loan scheme and increased state allocations. The event drew a wide range of attendees, including local officials and community leaders, all focused on building momentum for the upcoming electoral cycle.
