Cardiff City are close to finalizing a deal for Jack Moylan, the 24-year-old midfielder currently with Lincoln City. Moylan was instrumental in Lincoln City’s climb to the Championship, contributing 11 goals and six assists throughout the previous League One campaign.
The former Bohemians and Shelbourne talent earned his first Republic of Ireland call-up following his stellar performance, marking his international debut with a hat-trick in a 5-0 victory over Grenada. At Cardiff, Moylan will reunite with manager Brian Barry-Murphy. He will become the club’s second summer arrival, following the acquisition of goalkeeper Nathan Trott earlier in May.
The squad is currently gearing up for an EFL Cup match against Swindon Town this Saturday, following their recent 4-1 victory over Roma. Cardiff will then kick off their league season against Wrexham on August 17.
