Soldiers with Operation HADIN KAI have taken four individuals into custody for allegedly providing logistical assistance to Boko Haram and ISWAP militants. The arrests occurred during distinct missions across Yobe and Borno states, as reported by Captain Mohammed Goni, the Acting Military Information Officer for the Joint Task Force.
In Geidam, Yobe State, members of the 159 Battalion acted on intelligence to capture two individuals accused of smuggling drugs and supplies to rebels. Recovered evidence included cannabis, mobile devices, cash, and various personal items. Simultaneously, a joint effort by Sector 3 Garrison and the 242 Reconnaissance Battalion in Monguno, Borno State, led to the detention of two more suspects suspected of channeling food and essentials to insurgents in the Kukawa region.
Separately, soldiers patrolling the Gezuwa area intercepted 20 people related to JAS members. These individuals, who fled their settlement due to military pressure, are now being processed by intelligence officers. The military maintains that these actions are intended to dismantle the supply networks fueling extremist activities in the North-East.
