Content creator Habeeb Hamzat, famously known as Peller, revealed that several guests had their mobile phones stolen by local hoodlums during his traditional wedding ceremony held in Lagos on Saturday. During a TikTok broadcast on Monday, Peller explained that the thefts occurred outside the event venue, noting that a large number of agitators had gathered in the area.
Peller confirmed that he has personally reimbursed many of the affected guests by purchasing replacement devices. He described incidents where individuals, including a female guest at the entrance, had their phones seized by groups of people often referred to as agberos. Additionally, the creator mentioned a separate disturbance involving a vehicular accident outside the hall, which he was unaware of while inside the venue.
In response to these issues, Peller promised to enhance security for his upcoming white wedding on August 8. He plans to limit the guest list to 100 people and implement strict security measures to keep unauthorized individuals away. The traditional ceremony, known as #JP2026, featured his partner Elizabeth Amadou, also known as Jarvis, and was attended by numerous celebrities and influencers. The event gained attention for its lavish gifts, which included a N400 million mansion, a N150 million plot of land, and significant cash donations from high-profile guests.
