Governor Buni Mourns Several Prominent Yobe State Figures

Governor Mai Mala Buni has expressed deep sorrow following the deaths of several key Yobe State officials and community leaders, urging citizens to pray for the departed.

Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni has shared his profound sadness regarding a recent wave of fatalities affecting the state. Among those who passed away were two former Permanent Secretaries and the local All Progressives Congress (APC) women leader.

Mamman Mohammed, the Governor’s Director General of Press and Media Affairs, released a statement noting the significant impact of these losses on families and the broader community. Governor Buni remarked that while death is an inevitable conclusion ordained by Allah, the frequency of recent losses, including notable figures such as the late Emir of Ngazargamu, Dr. Bukar Aji, Alh. Ligali Ma’aji, and others, is difficult to bear.

The Governor highlighted the significant contributions these individuals made to Yobe State’s development throughout their careers. He paid special tribute to the public service record of the two Permanent Secretaries and the efforts of APC Women Leader for Yobe South, Hajiya Mairiga Umar, in community organizing. Governor Buni concluded by encouraging the public to remain prayerful, asking for divine mercy and peace for the departed while wishing strength for their grieving families.
