Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Dr. Muttaka Rabe-Darma, has pledged to secure more than one million votes in Katsina for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Dikko Radda for the 2027 election cycle. Abubakar Tsanni, the Director-General of the Grassroots Mobilisation for Tinubu/Dikko (GMTD 2027), shared this goal during a meeting with youth and women in Katsina on Sunday.
As the founder of the GMTD support group, Rabe-Darma is focusing on strengthening APC support through local partnerships. Tsanni noted that the organization has built a comprehensive structure reaching from the state level down to individual polling units. Currently, the group claims to have secured 165 committed voters at every one of the 6,651 polling units in Katsina, resulting in a total exceeding 1.079 million identified supporters who are prepared to vote for the APC candidates.
Representing the minister, APC official Danlami Kurfi praised Rabe-Darma’s ability to rally grassroots voters. He encouraged party members to remain focused and ignore critical rhetoric from opposing factions. Additionally, Alhaji Ali Abubakar-Albaba, head of the Katsina State House of Assembly Committee on Women Affairs, emphasized the need for unity and promised ongoing inclusion for all members throughout the election season.
