Crystal Palace Secure Signing of Lionesses Striker Bethany England

Newly promoted WSL side Crystal Palace have bolstered their ranks by signing experienced England international and former Chelsea forward Bethany England on a two-year deal.

Crystal Palace have completed the signing of veteran forward Bethany England as they prepare for their new campaign in the Women’s Super League. The 32-year-old former Tottenham captain signed a two-year contract with an additional one-year option after becoming a free agent this summer.

England brings significant experience to the newly promoted squad, having previously secured multiple trophies during a seven-year tenure at Chelsea, including four WSL titles. An integral member of the England national team, she helped the Lionesses win Euro 2022 and reach the 2023 Women’s World Cup final. Throughout her career, she has scored 87 WSL goals and departs Tottenham as their record league goalscorer.

Expressing enthusiasm for the move, the striker highlighted the club’s ambition and commitment to their women’s program. Manager Jo Potter welcomed the arrival, noting England’s consistent track record for scoring goals as a vital asset for the team’s upcoming challenges.
