Ganduje Refutes Defection Rumors, Reaffirms Loyalty to APC

Former APC National Chairman Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has debunked claims of his defection to the Nigeria Democratic Congress, labeling the reports as malicious misinformation.

Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has firmly rejected rumors suggesting he switched his allegiance to the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC). He clarified that his status within the APC remains unchanged and described viral social media images depicting his departure as fabricated and politically driven.

In a statement released by his former Chief of Staff, Muhammad Garba, Ganduje labeled these claims a calculated effort to distribute false information and stir discord among the party’s base. The former Kano State governor emphasized that he has never contemplated leaving the organization he once helmed. He further highlighted the APC’s status as Nigeria’s premier political entity, noting its continued growth under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Ganduje expressed his ongoing dedication to supporting President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. He confirmed that the individuals behind the misleading posters have been identified and issued a stern warning: legal proceedings will follow if these materials are not retracted. He concluded by urging the public and party faithful to ignore these unfounded allegations, asserting that they in no way represent his actual political stance.
