Adeniyi Adeyemi Welcomes Legal Review to Address Presidential Council Allegations

PFIPC Director-General Adeniyi Adeyemi says he is prepared to go to court to verify his bribery allegations against presidential Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila.

Adeniyi Adeyemi, the Director-General of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council, has expressed his willingness to address the ongoing controversy surrounding the presidential council in a court of law. During an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Thursday, Adeyemi affirmed his commitment to defending his position.

The controversy stems from accusations made by Adeyemi, who claimed that Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, obtained N400 million through an intermediary and sought an extra N200 million for an appointment. On Wednesday, the presidency formally denied these claims, asserting that Gbajabiamila lacks the authority to issue appointment letters.

Addressing the matter, Adeyemi stated that he is prepared to let a court of competent jurisdiction determine the truth. He emphasized his desire for legal vindication, noting that if his claims are found to be accurate or inaccurate, the judicial process will ultimately resolve the situation.
