Nicole Anyomi has officially signed a three-year deal with the London City Lionesses. The 26-year-old German striker joins the club as a free agent following the conclusion of her tenure at Eintracht Frankfurt, where she recorded 60 goals across 130 matches over five seasons.
A seasoned international, Anyomi has earned 34 caps for Germany. Her career highlights include participating in the Euro 2022 final and securing a bronze medal at the 2024 Olympic Games. She expressed enthusiasm regarding the opportunity to compete in the Women’s Super League, noting her desire to adapt to the league’s physical intensity and fast-paced style of play.
Anyomi credited her transition to England partly to the influence of her close friend and fellow footballer Shekiera Martinez, who has provided insights into playing within the English league system. This signing follows the recent announcement that defender Poppy Pattinson has extended her contract with London City.
