Military forces under Operation Hadin Kai successfully secured the release of 10 National Examinations Council (NECO) students and instructors. These individuals had been seized by alleged ISWAP militants during a raid on a secondary school located in Borno State.
Security reports indicate the assault took place around 9:00 a.m. this past Monday at the Technical Secondary School in the Lassa area of Askira/Uba Local Government. The students were in the middle of their NECO tests when the insurgents struck. The militants managed to capture a group of candidates and staff, fleeing into the nearby wilderness immediately after.
Following the attack, intelligence reports provided to Zagazola Makama confirmed that Operation Hadin Kai soldiers initiated a pursuit. This operation resulted in the safe retrieval of 10 captives. Military authorities noted that search efforts are active to find anyone still missing, with security patrols intensified throughout the region.
