Operation Hadin Kai Soldiers Save 10 Abducted NECO Students and Educators in Borno

Operation Hadin Kai troops rescued 10 NECO candidates and teachers after they were kidnapped by ISWAP militants during an exam at a Borno State secondary school.

Military forces under Operation Hadin Kai successfully secured the release of 10 National Examinations Council (NECO) students and instructors. These individuals had been seized by alleged ISWAP militants during a raid on a secondary school located in Borno State.

Security reports indicate the assault took place around 9:00 a.m. this past Monday at the Technical Secondary School in the Lassa area of Askira/Uba Local Government. The students were in the middle of their NECO tests when the insurgents struck. The militants managed to capture a group of candidates and staff, fleeing into the nearby wilderness immediately after.

Following the attack, intelligence reports provided to Zagazola Makama confirmed that Operation Hadin Kai soldiers initiated a pursuit. This operation resulted in the safe retrieval of 10 captives. Military authorities noted that search efforts are active to find anyone still missing, with security patrols intensified throughout the region.
