Tinubu insists Nigeria can recover, urges citizens to pay taxes for further development

President Bola Tinubu asserts that Nigeria is capable of transformation through infrastructure development, while urging citizens to pay taxes to support future projects.

President Bola Tinubu stated on Thursday that Nigeria possesses the potential for recovery. Speaking at the launch of the Arterial Road N16 interchange, which connects the Jahi and Gwarimpa districts in the Federal Capital Territory, the President emphasized that infrastructure remains the cornerstone of his administration’s economic prosperity agenda.

Represented by Senate President Godswill Akpabio during the ceremony, Tinubu highlighted that the new project will eliminate the severe traffic congestion that previously hindered movement between Maitama, Gishiri, Jahi, and Gwarimpa. By improving transit efficiency, the government aims to save commuters time and fuel, boost local business productivity, and enhance security throughout the capital city.

The President described the interchange as a tangible example of the Renewed Hope agenda, arguing that focused leadership can solve complex national challenges. He concluded by calling on Nigerians to fulfill their tax obligations, noting that increased revenue will enable the government to finance additional critical infrastructure projects.
