Abducted Pregnant Woman and Family Freed Following Sunday Igboho’s Ultimatum

A pregnant woman and her relatives were released in Oyo State after Yoruba activist Sunday Igboho demanded their freedom within a two-hour window.

A pregnant woman, along with her children and a sibling, regained their freedom in the Igboho region of Oyo State shortly after activist Sunday Adeyemo, known as Sunday Igboho, gave kidnappers a two-hour deadline to release them.

On Saturday, Igboho issued a firm directive to local Fulani community leaders, demanding the immediate release of the captives. In a widely circulated video, he addressed stakeholders in Yoruba, condemning the surge in kidnappings across the Southwest. He specifically denounced the killing of an individual who had attempted to deliver ransom money to the perpetrators.

Following his strict warning, social media footage surfaced depicting local residents celebrating the safe return of the kidnapped group. While the specifics of how the release was facilitated remain unclear, reports indicate the captors complied with Igboho’s demand.
