Ekiti Election: Oyebanji Triumphs at Senate Leader Bamidele’s Polling Station

Governor Biodun Oyebanji secured a landslide win at Senate Leader Opeyemi Bamidele’s polling unit as voting concluded in the Ekiti governorship election.

Governor Biodun Oyebanji, the All Progressives Congress candidate, achieved a significant win at Senator Opeyemi Bamidele’s polling unit during the recent Ekiti governorship race. The Presiding Officer, Mrs. Elizabeth Oregbemeh, reported that Oyebanji received 164 votes, comfortably ahead of his nearest competitor, Dr. Wole Oluyede of the Peoples Democratic Party, who garnered eight votes. Ayodeji Ojo from the Action Democratic Party finished with a single vote.

Senator Bamidele praised the election process and noted the impressive voter turnout throughout the region. He also lauded the Independent National Electoral Commission for the efficient distribution of materials and staff across all 16 local government areas. Official records show that of the 1,059,360 registered voters in Ekiti, 1,028,929 had obtained their Permanent Voter Cards for this exercise.
