The Chartered Pension Institute of Nigeria (CPIN) has announced plans to confer honorary fellowships on top management professionals with extensive contributions to the development of the nation’s pension sector.

This recognition, according to a statement issued on Thursday by the Executive Secretary/CEO of CPIN, Samson Akinyemi, will be part of the institute’s upcoming induction ceremony.

Established in 1991 and officially incorporated in 2003 with the Corporate Affairs Commission, CPIN serves as the professional regulatory body for Nigeria’s pension industry.

Akinyemi revealed that top executives who have dedicated approximately 20 years or more to the industry will be exempted from all certification examinations and will be awarded honorary fellowships in recognition of their service and expertise.

“In addition to their tenure, these individuals have also contributed significantly to the growth and structure of pension administration in Nigeria,” he noted.

The institute also plans to recognize middle management staff who have shown remarkable professional distinction. Those with 10 to 15 years of practice, relevant qualifications, and consistent organizational commitment will also be honored.

Akinyemi emphasized that CPIN’s membership remains open to the wider public, provided applicants meet the institute’s educational and professional criteria.
