Iran Strikes Kill Five, Injure 92 – Israeli Rescuers Report
Five people were killed and 92 others injured in Iran’s latest missile strikes on Israel, according to Magen David Adom (MDA), Israel’s emergency service.
The attacks hit four locations in central Israel, including Bnei Brak, near Tel Aviv.
The MDA reported that the fatalities included two women and two men, all around 70 years old, along with one additional victim.
“So far, MDA teams have evacuated 92 injured persons to hospitals, including a 30-year-old woman in serious condition with facial injuries, six in moderate condition, and 85 in mild condition,” the emergency agency added in a statement.
Search and rescue efforts were still ongoing at two of the impacted locations.
Iran launched the missile barrage early Monday in retaliation for Israeli strikes on its military and nuclear sites deep within Iranian territory.
This escalating exchange marks the most intense direct conflict between the two nations to date, raising global fears of a wider regional war.
Earlier, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant had warned that “Tehran’s residents will pay the price” if Iran targeted Israeli civilians.
