Kidnappers have demanded a ransom of N100 million for Pastor Samson Ndah Ali, a 30-year-old cleric with the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), who was abducted in the early hours of Monday from his home in Maraba Aboro, Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The gunmen, suspected to be kidnappers, reportedly stormed his residence around 1 a.m. and took him to an undisclosed location.

Confirming the incident, the church’s financial secretary, Mallam Yusuf Ambi, said he had spent time with the pastor the night before and was shocked to receive a distress call the following morning.

He further explained, “I rushed to his compound where he stays alone, only to find the doors wide open. I checked all the rooms, but he was nowhere to be found.”

Ambi further revealed that the kidnappers later reached out and demanded a ransom of N100 million for Pastor Ali’s release, noting that negotiations are currently ongoing.

He also mentioned that Pastor Ali, originally from Danji community in Ungwan Mailafiya, had only been assigned to the church less than two weeks before the abduction.

In response to the incident, a joint rescue operation has been launched by security forces, including the Nigerian Army, the police, and the Department of State Services (DSS).

When contacted, the spokesperson for the Kaduna State Police Command, DSP Mansir Hassan, said he would provide a response regarding the case.
