77th Primetime Emmys Crown ‘The Studio,’ ‘Adolescence’ And ‘The Pitt’ In Record-Breaking Night
The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards lit up the Peacock Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, delivering a night of historic wins, surprise upsets, and record-setting moments across television’s biggest stage.
Streaming giants Netflix and HBO Max dominated, while Apple TV+ scored a breakthrough comedy triumph with The Studio. The series not only won Outstanding Comedy but shattered records with 13 total trophies, including those collected at the Creative Arts Emmys.
Major Winners And Milestones
The Pitt (HBO Max) secured Outstanding Drama, with Noah Wyle winning Lead Actor and Katherine LaNasa taking Supporting Actress.
Adolescence (Netflix) claimed Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series and powered its young star Owen Cooper, 15, into the record books as the youngest male actor ever to win an Emmy. Stephen Graham and Erin Doherty also collected acting honours, while Philip Barantini and Jack Thorne took home directing and writing prizes.
Severance (Apple TV+) added to its reputation for prestige drama with Britt Lower winning Lead Actress, Tramell Tillman taking Supporting Actor, and multiple nominations across categories.
Jean Smart (Hacks) continued her awards streak with Lead Actress in a Comedy. Seth Rogen (The Studio) earned his first Emmy for Lead Actor in a Comedy, and Cristin Milioti (The Penguin) took Lead Actress in a Limited Series.
The show was hosted by comedian Nate Bargatze, who kept proceedings brisk with a quirky twist: every speech over 45 seconds shaved $100,000 off a charity donation, ensuring heartfelt but concise remarks.
On the red carpet, stars like Sydney Sweeney, Pedro Pascal, and Jenna Ortega turned heads, blending high-fashion glamour with social media buzz.
