Troops Rescue Two Kidnapped Girls in Plateau State
Troops of the 3 Division, Nigerian Army, under Operation Safe Haven, have rescued two kidnapped victims on the outskirts of Josho Village, Daffo District, in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The operation was conducted at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, following credible intelligence on the location of the victims.
Upon sighting the troops, the kidnappers abandoned their captives and fled into the bush.
A search of their hideout led to the rescue of two female victims, identified as 11-year-old Nanbam Adamu and Dorcas Wantu, both from Mbor Village in Mushere District, Bokkos LGA.
The victims were debriefed and handed over to their uncle, Mr. Caleb Mantau, to reunite them with their families.
Meanwhile, troops have launched a follow-up operation to track down and neutralize the fleeing kidnappers.
