Denge Josef Onoh, the former South-East spokesperson for President Bola Tinubu, has lauded Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah for his administration’s effective focus on security, healthcare, and industrial restoration. Onoh noted that Mbah’s governance strategies align closely with President Tinubu’s national agenda, particularly regarding the move toward a production-focused economy and improved public safety.
On security, Onoh praised the deployment of advanced surveillance technology, including a central command facility and a fleet of AI-integrated patrol vehicles. He highlighted the impact of the Enugu State Security Trust Fund and the success of ending the illegal Monday sit-at-home order, which has led to an 80 percent drop in violent crime. Regarding healthcare, the former legislator commended the construction of 260 primary healthcare centers across the state and the completion of the 300-bed Enugu International Hospital, mirroring the federal focus on grassroots health access.
Furthermore, Onoh highlighted the revival of long-dormant industrial assets, such as the Nigergas Company Limited, as evidence of Mbah’s commitment to job creation and economic growth. By revitalizing these enterprises through private-sector collaboration, the administration is successfully shifting away from a consumption-based model. Onoh concluded that these interconnected efforts in security, health, and industry serve as a model for other states to emulate in support of the President’s national development vision.
