Carloha Nigeria, the official representative for Chery in the country, is marking a major success as the automaker cements its status on the international stage. The brand recently celebrated hitting 20 million cumulative vehicle sales worldwide, a feat that propelled it into the top 10 list of global automotive manufacturers for the first time.
Executive Vice President Li Xueyong confirmed that Chery now holds the ninth position globally with a 4.1% market share, placing it alongside Ford. It is one of three Chinese companies to break into this elite group, showcasing the rising power of China’s car manufacturing sector. About one-third of the brand’s total volume now stems from international markets, including strong results across Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.
Export growth remains the core driver for Chery. In July 2026, the company exported over 202,500 vehicles, breaking the industry record for a single month and marking five consecutive months of record-breaking export figures. Felix Mahan, General Manager of Marketing at Carloha Nigeria, noted that these numbers highlight the brand’s dedication to quality, innovation, and safety.
In the Nigerian market, Carloha supports this growth by offering a range of SUVs and electric vehicles. Owners are backed by the CarlohaCare 6-6-7 program, which includes a six-year warranty, six years of free scheduled service, and a seven-day repair guarantee. This is supplemented by nationwide 24-hour roadside assistance.
As Chery operates in over 110 countries, Carloha Nigeria continues to focus on delivering advanced technology and premium service to local drivers. The brand remains dedicated to maintaining its momentum by combining high-end design with sustainable mobility and consistent customer care.
