Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky characterized the Russian tactics as ballistic terror, reporting that 61 missiles were launched against his nation throughout the week. He called for intensified international sanctions against Moscow and additional air defense support. In Kharkiv, a drone strike leveled four floors of a residential complex, causing two deaths and injuring 23 others, per regional governor Oleg Synegoubov. Odesa also suffered infrastructure damage to its power grid and port, leaving eight injured.
Additionally, an attack near a shopping center in Pavlohrad wounded nine people, including four children. Meanwhile, Russian official Alexander Shuvaev confirmed that a Ukrainian drone strike in Belgorod killed three people and injured 25, including two young children, while sparking fires in multiple residential structures and vehicles.
As the conflict nears its five-year mark, the United Nations has noted a rise in civilian fatalities. Diplomatic efforts toward a peace settlement remain largely at a standstill.
