The match saw United trail early after an Ibrahim Mbaye goal, but Bryan Mbeumo leveled the score in the 32nd minute following a setup by Amad Diallo. Further health worries emerged later when veteran goalkeeper Tom Heaton was forced off with a hamstring strain. Despite the disruptions, Carrick expressed satisfaction with the team’s ability to adapt and problem-solve during the fixture.
