Vendr.ng aims to mitigate these conflicts through a platform that integrates with existing Wi-Fi-enabled prepaid meters. This approach allows users to manage and top up their utility usage remotely. By focusing on software compatibility, the company seeks to bypass the high entry costs typically associated with smart metering upgrades. Project specialist Abraham Abayomi-Daniels emphasized that seamless installation and clear communication are essential components of their service deployment.
Landlords have also faced financial strain when tenants vacate properties with unpaid electricity bills or bypass communal meters.
