Three Nations Advance to WAFCON Quarter-Finals

Cameroon, Morocco, and Algeria have successfully advanced to the quarter-final stage of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Three nations have officially moved forward to the quarter-final stage of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. Cameroon, Morocco, and Algeria confirmed their positions in the final eight following recent group-stage matches.

Cameroon became the first side to progress after a 1-0 win against Ghana this past Sunday. The Indomitable Lionesses lead Group D with six points, ensuring they remain in the top two positions regardless of their upcoming performance against Cape Verde.

Tournament hosts Morocco also moved into the knockout rounds following a 0-0 draw with Senegal in Rabat on Monday. This result placed the Atlas Lionesses at the top of Group A with seven points. Algeria secured the second qualifying spot from the same group by defeating Kenya 2-0, concluding their group campaign with six points.
