TKO Group Holdings reported a $30 million loss following the UFC Freedom 250 event held at the White House this past June. The gala, attended by President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance, was organized to honor the 250th anniversary of American independence. Although the financial shortfall was expected by the organization, UFC maintained strong overall revenue growth for the second quarter of 2026.
The exclusive gathering on the South Lawn hosted approximately 4,300 guests. While the event incurred costs exceeding $60 million, UFC leadership noted that these expenses were partially mitigated through sponsorships and media rights agreements. The program was broadcast exclusively on Paramount+, attracting 34 million viewers worldwide and ranking among the most-watched combat sports broadcasts in history.
Andrew Schleimer, the chief financial officer at TKO Group, confirmed that the high-profile nature of the event negatively affected profit margins. Despite this specific loss, UFC total revenue climbed 29% year over year to reach $535.7 million, bolstered by a significant surge in media rights income linked to a $7.7 billion agreement with Paramount.
