Osun State’s IPAC caretaker committee has been sworn in, with leadership urging political parties to unite and uphold integrity for the upcoming governorship election.

The Osun State chapter of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) recently launched its caretaker committee with an appeal for political unity before the upcoming gubernatorial election. During Monday’s inauguration, committee chairman Odesola Oluseye encouraged all political parties to bridge their divisions to bolster local democracy.

Oluseye highlighted the importance of fairness and transparency, urging stakeholders to protect the integrity of the vote. He stressed that a unified front is vital for maintaining public trust and ensuring that the electoral process accurately reflects the will of the citizens. The committee intends to uphold these democratic values while ensuring every voice remains represented.

In addition to seeking unity, the chairman championed the celebration of diverse political perspectives, suggesting that collaboration is key to progress. He also thanked the national IPAC leadership for resolving the local leadership vacancy, which had previously hindered the council. With this new oversight, the committee aims to fulfill its constitutional duties and guide the organization through the remainder of the election cycle.
