Two Nigeria Flying Eagles Players Named in WAFU B U-20 Group Stage Best XI

Flying Eagles stars Alfred Odinaka and Abdulmuiz Adeleke have been selected for the WAFU B U-20 Championship Group Stage Best XI following a strong performance in the tournament.

Nigeria’s U-20 national team, the Flying Eagles, saw two of their representatives, Alfred Odinaka and Abdulmuiz Adeleke, earn spots in the official Group Stage Best XI for the WAFU B U-20 Championship. This recognition followed the conclusion of the tournament’s opening phase this past Sunday.

Odinaka was chosen as one of the four defenders in the lineup. Meanwhile, striker Adeleke cemented his place through an impressive scoring record, tallying four goals across three matches. He notably secured a brace during the 4-2 win over Ghana’s Black Satellites and contributed two additional goals in the 3-0 defeat of Togo’s Sparrow Hawks.

The selection also includes three players each from Burkina Faso and the host nation, Côte d’Ivoire. Niger, Ghana, and Togo are represented by one player each. The Flying Eagles are now preparing for their upcoming semi-final match against Côte d’Ivoire scheduled for this Wednesday.
