Crystal Palace acquire defender Molly Bartrip from Tottenham

Crystal Palace has signed defender Molly Bartrip from Tottenham on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

Crystal Palace has officially brought in Tottenham defender Molly Bartrip. The transfer involves an undisclosed fee, and the player has committed to a three-year contract with the newly promoted Women’s Super League side. This move sees Bartrip reconnect with former Spurs captain Bethany England.

During her five-year tenure at Tottenham, Bartrip surpassed 100 appearances and served as vice-captain starting in 2023. She was a constant presence in the lineup during the 2024–25 campaign and even helped the squad secure their first-ever Women’s FA Cup final appearance in 2024. Following a successful season, she had originally signed a three-year extension with Tottenham.

Crystal Palace, having secured their place in the top flight after finishing second in the Championship last year, continues to bolster their roster. Alongside Bartrip and England, the club has also added Lexi Lloyd-Smith, who led the scoring charts in the second tier last season.
