Peter Obi, the presidential candidate for the Nigerian Democratic Congress, visited his supporter Isaac Fayose at his Abuja home on Saturday. This visit occurred shortly after Fayose faced intense backlash for a meeting he held with Seyi Tinubu, the president’s son, and socialite Pascal Okechukwu, also known as Cubana Chief Priest.
During their recent gathering in the capital, the trio offered prayers for the nation and the leadership. This event led to accusations from some of Obi’s supporters that Fayose had been bought off. Fayose publicly pushed back against these claims, citing his long-term dedication to Obi’s political goals since 2023.
In a video uploaded to Instagram on Saturday, Obi can be seen speaking with Fayose. Regarding the social media harassment Fayose received, Obi remarked that many attackers are not actual supporters. He noted that these hostile actions are often carried out by individuals paid to smear others.
