Ange Postecoglou joins Al Nassr as head coach on two-year agreement

Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has signed a two-year contract to lead Saudi Pro League champions Al Nassr.

Al Nassr, the reigning Saudi Pro League titleholders, have secured former Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou as their lead strategist. The club finalized the two-season deal on Friday.

Through an official announcement on social media, the team welcomed the coach, confirming he has taken the helm of the club. Postecoglou succeeds Jorge Jesus, who vacated the position following the conclusion of the successful championship run.

The incoming manager now leads a squad captained by Cristiano Ronaldo. Since the high-profile signing of the Portuguese star in 2022, Al Nassr has invested heavily in global talent to cement its dominance in Saudi football and contend for the AFC Champions League Elite trophy. Postecoglou is set to start his duties immediately to prepare the team for the upcoming season’s challenges.
