On Friday, Abubakar Malami, the former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, hosted Rotimi Amaechi for a private meeting at his residence in Abuja. This discussion followed a meeting between Amaechi and former Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal the previous day, marking ongoing efforts within the ADC to prepare for the 2027 general elections. Tambuwal expressed that their collaboration aims to form a unified platform that restores public hope and provides strong leadership.
Furthermore, Tambuwal lauded a recent Federal High Court ruling that validated the ADC leadership under Senator David Mark, viewing it as a positive step for legal integrity. He stated that this decision allows the party to consolidate its internal structure to offer a viable political alternative for the nation. Amaechi is set to serve as the running mate to ADC presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, with both names already submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission for the upcoming election.
