To bolster its staff numbers and enhance operational efficiency throughout the country, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has officially launched its 2026 recruitment campaign. The agency is now accepting applications from eligible Nigerian citizens for various roles, including officer positions, marshal inspectorate, and road marshal assistant cadres.
The announcement, made on Thursday, lists vacancies for several ranks such as Superintendent Route Commander, Route Commander, Deputy Route Commander, Assistant Route Commander, as well as Marshal Inspector and Road Marshal Assistant levels. Candidates aiming for the officer cadre are required to hold a university degree or an HND from an accredited school. Those applying for lower cadres must satisfy the specific academic and professional criteria associated with those roles. Opportunities are also open for skilled drivers, riders, and artisans.
Interested individuals must be Nigerian by birth, maintain physical health, and possess basic computer literacy skills. Holding a valid National Driver’s License is considered beneficial. Additional mandates include a government-certified medical fitness report and adherence to height standards, which are set at 1.65 metres for men and 1.58 metres for women. Applicants are also expected to have a clean criminal record and sound moral standing.
The application window opens on Friday, July 3, 2026, and will remain accessible for four weeks via the official FRSC portal. The agency explicitly warned that the hiring process is entirely free and urged candidates to remain vigilant against scammers demanding payments for employment.
