Daniel Nanle, a resident of Kawel village within the Mushere Chiefdom of Bokkos Local Government Area, Plateau State, has shared a harrowing account of an attack on June 21, 2026. Suspected Fulani bandits raided the local Primary Health Centre, targeting patients and staff.
During a condolence visit from Deputy Governor Ngo Josephine Piyo on Thursday, Nanle explained that his pregnant sister, Larai Danjuma, had gone into labour that night. She was admitted to the health facility for delivery, but the situation turned deadly when armed militants stormed the building.
Nanle confirmed that his sister was among those killed by the attackers inside the labour room, alongside other medical personnel and patients. The grieving brother has called upon the state and federal governments, as well as security forces, to take immediate measures to stop these violent incursions and ensure the safety of the community.
